Useful Tips for Seattle
Here’s some Seattle travel tips to help make the best of your travel to Seattle:
- Bring a rain jacket - during the Spring, Fall & Winter seasons it is likely it will rain at least once during your stay. In the Summer time you may never see rain!
- Although the summer months are hot and sunny - the evenings and nights can get quite chilly so it is important to pack something warm for any time of year!
- Try the seafood! Seattle is known for the fantastic and fresh seafood and it sure is delectable!
- Seattle has great transportation within the city - buses, light rail, ferries - but keep in mind getting out of the city and into the outdoors can be more challenging. Contact a local tour operator for adventure tours with transportation!
- High season in Seattle is July to September - this is when you will see tourists everywhere! The weather is warm and beautiful during this time but hotel prices are more expensive and the city is busier. The Spring, Fall & Winter months are great if you are on a budget - it may rain from time to time but the activities are just as plentiful and the area just as beautiful!
- Bring comfortable shoes! Walking and biking are great ways to get around the city - but keep in mind Seattle is built on a hill and be prepared to use some leg muscle!
